Homeless Initiative for Rehabilitation and Elimination of Delinquency (HIRED)
The Burns Administration will put an end to the seemingly intractable homeless crisis and the perpetual hemorrhaging of the public purse.
Why must good, hard working New Yorkers endure hordes of undesirables accosting them daily for their spare change. How long must they continue to pay exorbitant taxes while overcompensated public sector employees demand more pay and benefits for their lackluster performance.
The Homeless Initiative for Rehabilitation and Elimination of Delinquency (HIRED) will take the lost souls off our streets, register them in a citywide database and provide for them adequate food, shelter and uniforms. These unemployed vagabonds will be given a second chance at life, earning their keep as the new public workforce of New York, replacing the current inefficient workforce. This plan will save the city tens of millions of dollars a year in unnecessary compensation as well as clean up its homeless haven image as the San Francisco of the East.
Those who opt out of the HIRED program will be automatically entered into the Tissue Harvesting Program of New York City.
